The Brighton-Cramahe Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) is going to host a Business Achievement Awards Gala in March 2018.

Kristen Fletcher, Chamber President and Laurie-Ann McCulloch, Chamber Awards Committee Chair have announced that the BCCC is initiating local business achievement awards to that end.

“The Chamber believes there is a need for more recognition of the businesses in our communities and we see this as a good opportunity for the Municipalities to partner in recognizing their local employers and community builders,” said Chamber Manager, Sherry Hamilton.

There will be eleven awards. Three sponsors have committed and other sponsors are being solicited.

There will be a call for nominations in January.

There are opportunities for the municipalities to partner-up in order to sponsor two awards at the Gold Level.

Focus awards will be the Business of the Year and the New Business of the Year in each municipality.

Seven sectors the remaining awards will fall into are, Not-for-Profit, Agriculture, Local Impact, Customer Experience, Health & Wellness, Environmental Practises and Innovation.

Award ceremonies will alternate between the communities of Brighton and Colborne each year.
