from notes provided by Paul Hussey

Aida is a musical that features music from Elton John and lyrics from Tim Rice.

Directed by East Northumberland Secondary School Drama Teacher Paul Hussey.

It is a story about a Nubian princess being captured by an Egyptian soldier.

The two fall in love despite the fact he is already betrothed to the Pharaoh’s daughter.

It is an interesting love story with murder, slavery and intrigue.

The show runs April 26-28 and May 3-5 at ENSS in Brighton

Tickets are available through our main office (during the school day) or at The Show Store (in Brighton), Rock/Paper/Scissors (in Brighton), or Bruinix Jewelers (in Trenton).

Musicals at East Northumberland Secondary School have always been a community event and we are proud to continue this tradition.

“Everybody has been working hard since October, with more than 150 students, staff and community volunteers helping to make this event a memorable one,” according to the director.
